Synology RS1221+ / RS1221RP+

The RS1221+/RS1221RP+ is a compact 8-bay 2U rackmount built for small and medium businesses that need dependable, space-efficient file storage. Its shallow depth suits two-post racks and tight server closets, and it scales to 12 bays with an optional expansion unit. At 407.5 mm deep it is notably shorter than the 12-bay models above it, which is often the deciding factor in comms rooms and cabinets that were never sized for storage. A PCIe 3.0 x8 slot allows 10GbE to be added, and the RP variant carries dual redundant power supplies.
