Product Overview
The FS6400 is a dual-CPU, 24-bay all-flash server aimed at multimedia post-production, VM hosting, OLTP, and database workloads that need consistently high IOPS. Dual Xeon Silver processors and up to 512 GB of RAM give it the headroom for demanding multi-user, multi-application environments — it is the only model in the FS range with two sockets, and the memory ceiling is four times that of the FS3410 and FS3600. The bays accept SAS or SATA SSDs and SAS HDDs, expanding to 72 drives with two FX2421 units, and two PCIe 3.0 x8 slots sit alongside dual 10GBASE-T for additional networking. Synology rates it at over 240,000 4K random write IOPS. Five-year warranty.
