The current-generation entry into mission-critical storage. The Dell PowerMax 2500 scales to two node pairs and 8PBe on Dynamic Fabric with NVMe/RDMA — consolidating open systems, mainframe, file and virtual storage with a 5:1 data reduction guarantee.

The Dell PowerMax 2500 is the current-generation entry point into mission-critical enterprise storage and the direct successor to the PowerMax 2000. Built on the Dynamic Fabric architecture with Intel Xeon Scalable processors, end-to-end NVMe, 100Gb/s InfiniBand and hardware-based data reduction, it scales from one to two node pairs with cache options from 896GB up to 7.68TB per node pair, reaching a total effective capacity of 8PBe. Flexible RAID lets nodes and storage capacity grow independently in increments of a single drive. It consolidates open systems, mainframe, file and virtualised storage on one platform, carries a 5:1 data reduction guarantee for open systems and 3:1 for mainframe, and is designed for six nines of availability with PowerMaxOS upgrades completing non-disruptively in under six seconds.
