The HPE ProLiant DL380a Gen11 is a 2U dual-socket accelerator-optimised server built for enterprise AI, supporting up to four double-wide or eight single-wide GPUs in a standard 2U form factor. The "a" denotes accelerator optimised, referring to the cooling design that sustains dense GPU configurations. Powered by 4th and 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 64 cores at 350W, it carries 24 DIMM slots across 12 memory channels per processor for up to 3TB of DDR5 at speeds up to 5600 MT/s. Inference performance can be increased further by bridging two adjacent GPUs with an NVIDIA 2-way NVLink Bridge. PCIe Gen5 expansion provides up to four x16 slots and two OCP slots, with an 8SFF x4 U.3 NVMe drive bay fitted by default and management through HPE iLO 6.
