Flash-ready shared storage at the entry price point. The HPE MSA 1060 puts 24 SFF bays, dual controllers and four host ports in 2U with a choice of 16Gb FC, 10GBASE-T iSCSI or 12Gb SAS — the same MSA Gen6 architecture as the larger arrays, sized for smaller IT workloads.

The HPE MSA 1060 is the entry point of the MSA Gen6 family, a 2U dual-controller shared storage array built to bring flash-ready block storage to budget-constrained sites without giving up the architecture used across the rest of the range. The base chassis is small form factor only, holding up to 24 SFF HDDs and SSDs, with four host ports across two controllers and a choice of 16Gb Fibre Channel, 10GBASE-T iSCSI or 12Gb SAS connectivity depending on model. Capacity grows through up to three MSA 2060 SFF or LFF drive enclosures — four chassis in total — reaching 737TB with SFF expansion or 904TB with LFF, and up to 2.95PB using the newer self-encrypting SSD options. It supports 512 volumes and 512 snapshots per system, MSA-DP+ distributed RAID, and the same three-tier automated tiering as the larger models.
