Product Overview
The Dell Precision 7960 Rack is a 2U dual-socket rack workstation that puts workstation-class performance in a data-centre form factor, keeping intellectual property in the rack while users work remotely. It supports up to two 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, from the 8-core Xeon Silver 4410Y up to the 64-core Xeon Platinum 8592+, at up to 4.2GHz and 350W each. Each processor carries an 8-channel memory architecture across 16 DIMM slots, giving 32 DDR5 slots and up to 8TB of registered ECC memory at speeds to 5600 MT/s. Eight front-accessible lockable bays take 2.5" or 3.5" SAS, SATA or NVMe drives behind a PERC H755 controller, and up to two 300W double-wide professional GPUs can be fitted in PCIe Gen5 slots. Remote administration runs through iDRAC9 alongside Dell Optimizer for Precision, with Teradici PCoIP and Amulet Hotkey zero-client options for secured remote access.
