The Dell PowerEdge XE9640 is a 2U rack server and Dell's first liquid-cooled 4-way GPU platform, purpose-built for AI training, deep learning and HPC workloads. Powered by two 4th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors with up to 56 cores per socket on the Intel C741 chipset, the XE9640 offers a choice of 4x NVIDIA H100 700W SXM GPUs fully interconnected with NVLink, or 4x Intel Data Center GPU Max Series 1550 600W OAM accelerators fully interconnected with XeLink. Direct liquid cooling of both processors and GPUs delivers sustained performance and efficient power utilization in a dense 2U footprint, supported by Cool IT 42U and 48U rack manifold infrastructure. With DDR5 RDIMM memory up to 2TB, up to 4x 2.5" NVMe SSDs and up to 4 PCIe Gen5 slots, the XE9640 is an ideal building block for dense supercomputer and HPC acceleration clusters.
