Dell PowerEdge XE7740 GPU Server

The Dell PowerEdge XE7740 is a 4U air-cooled rack server built for high-density PCIe GPU acceleration. Two Intel Xeon 6 series processors with up to 144 cores each drive 32 DDR5 RDIMM slots up to 4TB, and the chassis accepts either 8x PCIe Gen5 x16 double-width full-height full-length accelerators up to 600W, or 16x PCIe Gen5 x16 single-width accelerators up to 75W. Supported GPU options include the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition (96GB), H200 NVL (141GB), H100 NVL (94GB), L40S (48GB) and L4 (24GB), plus Intel Gaudi3 (128GB). In a non-GPU configuration the same expansion slots take up to 8 single-width full-height half-length PCIe Gen5 x16 cards at 150W each. Storage runs to 8x 2.5" NVMe/SAS/SATA SSDs at 122.88TB, with BOSS-N1 hardware RAID 1 on dual M.2 NVMe keeping the boot volume off your data drives. There is no onboard LOM on this platform — networking is handled by a single OCP NIC 3.0 card on x8 PCIe lanes. Power is redundant hot-swap Titanium at 3200W or 2400W depending on your feed, and management runs through iDRAC10 with Redfish, RACADM and the OpenManage Enterprise console, plus Red Hat Ansible and Terraform integrations for automated provisioning. Air cooling throughout keeps the platform deployable in standard racks without liquid infrastructure. Warranty and support — please read before ordering. This system ships with Dell's 3-year hardware warranty, which covers repair or replacement of defective components. It is hardware only: software support is not included, and there is no guaranteed onsite response time. For a production XE-series deployment we strongly recommend adding ProSupport Plus for Infrastructure, which adds 4-hour onsite response, proactive maintenance, a Technical Customer Success Manager and third-party software support. On a GPU server this dense, the difference between a part being shipped to you and an engineer arriving onsite within four hours is usually worth more than the cost of the coverage.
