The Dell PowerEdge R4715 is a 1U single-socket server built on AMD's 5th Generation EPYC 9005 platform, sized for edge and general-purpose workloads that want the AMD platform without the core count — or the cost — of the R6715 above it. Dell describes the R4715 and R5715 pair as designed to deliver strong performance, flexibility and efficiency for small and mid-size businesses, with the R4715 aimed at data analytics, virtualization, scale-out databases and edge compute. A single EPYC 9005 processor of up to 32 cores drives 24 DDR5 DIMM slots carrying up to 1.5TB of registered ECC memory. Front storage supports 4x 3.5" SAS/SATA or 8x 2.5" SAS/SATA and U.2 NVMe Gen4 drives, for up to 8 NVMe devices. Expansion covers three PCIe Gen5 slots and two OCP 3.0 slots supporting 10, 25, 100 or 400GbE, with dual hot-plug redundant 800W or 1100W Platinum or Titanium supplies. AMD SME and SEV, Silicon Root of Trust, Secure Boot, System Lockdown and FIPS-certified TPM 2.0 cover security, with iDRAC10 and Redfish-based RESTful API for management.
